Trusting God's Plan....
The first round of IUI (Intrauterine Insemination) was a very interesting process. Not knowing what to expect is what made it confusing at first. I remember feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness as I walked into the clinic. I was eager to start the process, but at the same time, I was worried about what the future would hold for us.
On the 12th day of my cycle, I went in to have an ultrasound done. The ultrasound lasted all of 10 minutes and my husband couldn't come back with me, which added to my stress levels. Luckily, it was my left side that showed follicles for ovulation, so I had to purchase an ovulation kit and check it for the next three days. If the kit showed a positive result, I had to come in to have the insemination done.
However, after three days passed, it did not show a positive result. I had to go back in for another ultrasound and have an HCG trigger shot. This was the turning point in the process because after the shot, I was able to test my ovulation later that evening and the next morning and it was positive. We were finally able to go in to have the insemination done.
The insemination process itself was awkward and uncomfortable, but we knew that it was a necessary step in our journey towards becoming parents. My husband had to do his part alone, and then I had to go back for the procedure alone. It was a lonely experience, but I knew that I had the support of my husband and my faith in God to see me through it.
Now, we are in the two-week waiting period to see if the treatment was successful. It's a period of anxious anticipation, filled with questions and uncertainty. But as a Christian, I know that I can lean on my faith and trust that God has a plan for us, no matter the outcome.
Infertility is a difficult road to navigate, but I have found comfort in my faith and the support of my loved ones. As we continue on this journey, I hold on to the hope that one day we will be blessed with a child. Until then, I will continue to trust in God's plan for our lives and have faith that everything will work out for our good.
"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11.
This Bible verse reminds us that God has a plan for each of our lives, and it is a plan for our good. Even though we may face challenges and uncertainties, we can trust that God is in control and that His plan will ultimately lead us to a place of hope and a bright future. As we navigate the difficult road of infertility, we hold on to this promise and it brings us comfort and strength. We trust in God's plan for our lives and have faith that everything will work out according to His will.
